Director
The
Director has overall
responsibility for leading the organization towards the realization of
its
mission. The key areas of responsibility include: ensuring a stable and
scalable business plan; program design and implementation; fundraising;
determining staffing patterns, staff selection and supervision; forging
and
maintaining relationships with stakeholders; lay leadership
development;
communications;
Yonatan
Glaser is the
Founder and Director of B’Tzedek. He has worked with School
Principals and
teachers for the Israeli Ministry of Education and has years of
experience in
informal Jewish education with Israeli and Diaspora Jews. He founded
Hiburim,
an Israeli non-profit that worked with Israeli schools. A graduate of
the Mandel
Foundation’s Israeli School for
Educational
Leadership, Yonatan holds an MA in Jewish Philosophy as well as degrees
in Law
and Economics. Prior to creating B’Tzedek
as an initiative of Topaz,
Yonatan served in New York as the Central Educational Shaliach
to the
Reform Movement in North America.

Beer
Sheva Projects
Coordinator
To
build relationships with key
stakeholders in youth and student programming in Ber Sheeva; to develop
and
manage the Filming In-Justice project; to plan for the development of
other
projects in the city towards 2008-9.
Avigail
Hatzor has 4 years
of work with youth from diverse backgrounds in different cities.
Avigail has
successfully initiated youth programs on a city wide basis. She is
studying
Social Work at Ben Gurion University.
Policy
Network Coordinator
(Intern)
To
develop and manage the
internet-based B’Tzedek Policy Network in partnership with
the Reut Institute;
to ensure maximal involvement of Israeli and Jewish students.
Udi
Ofir – Udi is a keen
user of innovative computer technologies and is studying Political
Science at
Hebrew University.
Refugee
Stories Project
Coordinator (Intern)
To
develop and manage the
Refugees Stories project, to recruit, train and manage volunteers in
Jerusalem
and on other campuses in collaboration with our local partner on each
campus.
To develop, coordinate and support the student working groups who will
lead the
advocacy and public education campaigns.
Oshrat
Abergil – From
Kiryat Shmona, Oshrat has experience in project management and is
studying
Political Science at Hebrew University.
Web
Development
(Volunteer)
To
develop the infrastructure of
the B’Tzedek website, to train and support B’Tzedek
staff in updating its
content.
Yoni
Blasberg – completed
his degree in Computer Science at Ben
Gurion University
in 2007, moved to Jerusalem.
Photographer
(Volunteer)
To
document the programs of
B’Tzedek; to recruit and coordinate volunteers to document
the asylum seekers
interviewed in the Refugee Stories project.
Tal
Sofer – with a keen
interest in the use of visual media for social
change, Tal is studying
photography at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
Technology
Advisor
To
advise and train B’Tzedek in
selecting and using free and low-cost technologies that enable
B’Tzedek to
leverage its resources to achieve its objectives.
Oren
Yosifon – is Chief
Technology Officer of Mindcite, a leading Israeli high-tech firm.
Having
started his career in the intersection of education and technology,
Oren is
committed to helping non profit organizations benefit from emerging
technology
trends.
